Getting started

Add a company (entity) to GovernOS

Two ways: import from a public registry (UK Companies House live today) or fill the form yourself for any jurisdiction.

Fastest path — UK companies: Open /import/uk, type the company name or number, hit Search, click Preview, then Import. GovernOS pulls the official Companies House profile, all active officers and the PSC register in one go. No typing.

Any other jurisdiction: Open /onboard. Pick the jurisdiction, enter the legal name and registration number, add directors and shareholders. The wizard adapts to the jurisdiction — UAE entities ask for ESR fields, Singapore for ACRA references, Saudi for Iqama, and so on.

What gets created: an entity record, the people you list (directors / shareholders), positions (so the org chart and the cap table both populate), and the appropriate per-jurisdiction registers (PSC for UK, DIN for AU, etc.).

Tip: if you're a fractional CS or CSP running many clients, set the active client on the sidebar before onboarding — the entity will be created under that client automatically.
